Fans of ITV's Saturday Night Takeaway have been left fuming after Ant and Dec made an announcement at the end of last night's show. The presenting duo confirmed that the programme will not air next week.

Instead of Saturday Night Takeaway, a Six Nations rugby match between France and England will be shown on ITV1. The game is set to take place at Groupama Stadium in Lyon, marking the close of this year's tournament.

X, formerly known as Twitter, quickly saw comments from viewers upset at the schedule change. Among the disappointed comments were: "Can the rugby not go on ITV 4 or something instead," and "Not on next week because of the rugby? Who even cares about rugby FFS."

Another person wrote: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S NOT ON, RUGBY YOU WILL PAY.", reports Wales Online.

Someone else shared their feelings by writing: "No #SaturdayNightTakeaway next week because of the rugby? FEWMIN."

Despite this bump, the most recent episode of Saturday Night Takeaway had fans laughing when Ant and Dec played a joke on TV star Lorraine Kelly. This was during the Get Out of Me Ear segment.

They made Lorraine do lots of funny things while she was shopping in a store. She had to eat cereal while trying on shoes, drink Prosecco out of a heel, play bagpipes on an escalator, and pose for pictures with other customers.

The TV host's last task involved her throwing items back to the ground floor of the shop, exclaiming: "I don't want them anymore! " Shop workers watched in surprise as the well-known presenter acted out.
