Two men have opened a shop dedicated to witchcraft, offering unique services such as curse removal and love readings. Paul Bryant and Adrian Matten recently launched The Cunning Grove in Stoke, an expansion of their stall in Plymouth Market.

Paul, who has been a practising pagan and druid for over two decades, says he used Celtic magic to change his life. He teamed up with Adrian, 50, and they hope their new shop will become a 'hub for the spiritual community' in Devon and Cornwall.

Paul, who is deeply spiritual, explained that paganism is a broad term for those who follow older traditions that came before Christianity. The 44 year old said: "I think we live in a world where people often feel disempowered. What pagans tend to do is ground a connection to the world around us. We want to create a community through witchcraft and paganism, which is deeply empowering.

"The idea is that people can weave magic into their everyday lives gives a sense of connection and community. I'm a witch and people tend to look at me in a certain way, but we are coming together as a community - we support each other, look out for each other and no one's ever left behind."

In the new shop filled with the scent of incense, which Paul says is made of copal, rose petals, marigold and lavender, customers come in to look around. Among them is Tasha Pearce, a 34-year-old practising witch.

Tasha said that being a witch helps her understand the world better. She said: "I feel a connection and a sense of peace and it helped me to discover myself. My nana was a Romani gypsy and becoming a witch has brought me closer to my ancestors and given me a sense of comfort. I get all my products here as well as guidance from Paul," reports Plymouth Live.

The team at the shop said that love, protection, and money spells are what people ask for the most. The Cunning Grove has affordable workshops offering healing, readings and spell working services.

Curse removal, trauma healing, energy healing, life and love readings are just some of the options available at the shop and there are several spells to choose from including protection, success, prosperity and love. The Cunning Grove also sells crystals, essential oils, herbs and candles.

Paul explained, "I've trained in lots of different forms of healing over several years. For me it's about sharing the techniques that I've learned over a long period of time - anyone can become a healer if they have the heart and passion for it."

Harley Howard-Nickson, an 18-year-old from Totnes, is also part of the team. He handles photography, website management and social media for The Cunning Grove.
