Offaly and Westmeath meet in the opening round of fixtures in the National Football League in Division 3 today.

Westmeath came out on top when the sides met in the same competition back in February last year at TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar.

Westmeath made the perfect start from their point of view early doors when John Heslin slotted home a penalty as Offaly goalkeeper Ian Duffy was shown a black card.
