Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Arsenal have a number of players in contention for Sunday's Premier League clash with West Ham United. The Gunners face being without a number of key players due to injury following last week's win over Liverpool.

The north Londoners travel to the London Stadium in search of a third successive win. However, despite hitting good form, Arsenal are without a number of players.

Fortunately, it looks as though Bukayo Saka will be fit to play against West Ham. The Hale End star was taken off following a collision with Darwin Nunez last week but Arteta has confirmed that he's OK. "He's been recovering this week and he looks OK," the Spaniard said.

In his pre-match press conference, Arteta also provided the latest injury news on first team trio Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey. Jesus missed the 3-1 win over Liverpool due to a recurrence of a knee issue while Zinchenko lasted only 45 minutes after flaring up the calf problem that saw him miss two games in December.

Partey suffered another injury setback in his return from a thigh injury that has ruled him out since October. football.london understands it is only a minor issue and will not require any further operations.

"We have a few still in contention," Arteta said in his pre-match press conference. "They’ve been evolving really well. Tomorrow we have another training session. We’re hopeful that we’ll have a few back and that we can put a very competitive squad out there."
